This is the only jet boat operation with Department of Conservation concessions to operate on the Upper Waiau River. Lex will not only give you the history of Te Anau and the surrounding Southland area on your informative jet boat tour down the river, he may even show you one or two of his favourite trout fly fishing spots. Luxmore Jet tailors all jet boat tours to suit your adventure needs, and you’ll even experience the odd jet boat spin if that’s what you’d like! Luxmore Jet is locally owned and operated by Lex and Shirley Mouat who have their roots firmly planted in the Te Anau/Manapouri area. Born and bred in Southland, New Zealand they spent 25 years sheep farming before establishing Luxmore Jet in 2003. Lex has spent over 20 years enjoying both commercial and recreational time on the Upper Waiau River.
