River Anduin
 Our classic Luxmore Jet Adventure transports you to some of the recognisable Lord of the Rings film locations as used by Peter Jackson during the production of Lord of the Rings. There are no film sets here, just pure nature and the beautiful backdrop provided by the Cathedral Peaks as the jet boat reaches Lake Manapouri.
The one hour jetboat ride with Luxmore Jet on the Upper Waiau River showcases the River Anduin and takes you to three recognisable locations as seen in first film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, “The Fellowship of the Rings”.
To experience additional film locations opt for our LOTR Helijet Adventure. Here the jet boat ride will showcase the River Anduin and then you’ll board the helicopter for a 40 minute flight with Southern Lakes Helicopters over the Kepler Mire where Frodo and Sam tramped through the Dead Marshes. You’ll then fly over Lake Manapouri through Hurricane Passage to the Norwest Lakes where the Fellowship left Rivendell. Here the helicopter will land to view the magnificence of the Norwest Lakes and Lake Manapouri before returning to Te Anau.
